2014 Tobago Blue Food Festival

Tobago’s 2014 BLUE FOOD FESTIVAL is Sunday, 19th October!  

The dasheen love fest also known as the BLUE FOOD FESTIVAL returns for its sixteenth year with local cooks using dasheen and other ground provisions to create innovative appetizers, entrees, desserts and liqueurs.

As always, live entertainment will serenade the crowd and cooks as they prepare their signature dishes for Best Overall Dasheen Dish & Cook of the Day; Most Innovative Dasheen Dish; Best Dasheen Dessert; Best Dasheen Beverage; Best Baked Dasheen Dish; and Best Table Display.

Food will be available for purchase along with tons of specialty blue food items to take home like dasheen punch, wine, kuchela, cookies and much more.

Where: Bloody Bay Recreation Grounds, Tobago

When: 10am – 6pm, Sunday, 19th October 2014

Admission: FREE

TIPS: Bring umbrellas; Consider wearing waterproof/mud-friendly shoes; Bring your own chair, if possible; Be prepared to park your car at the village entrance and take a shuttle to the festival location.

Live Entertainers include: Benjai and Blaxx; Tobago Heritage Performers, Parlatuvier Dancers and more.
