THE WATERMILL RESTAURANT landed on the Tobago food scene last May (reopening under new management) so we were thrilled to finally visit over the Easter break!
Housed in an open-air setting with loads of historical ambiance, THE WATERMILL serves lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday. The restaurant’s menu covers all the bases and includes steaks, fish options (always a treat in Tobago with all the fresh fish available), duck, pork tenderloin, lamb, sandwiches, fish & chips, salads, and a great line-up of housemade desserts like the coconut cheesecake that we’ll be sampling next time.
No matter what, lunch at THE WATERMILL should include an order of the classic Fish & Chips. The fish is beer battered and then fried, rendering the batter oh so light and crisp…we’re tasting it all over again as we type this.
Dinner was solid on the night we dined at THE WATERMILL with a well executed grilled red snapper and steaks, properly cooked to our specifications and served with very tasty sides. We called it a night with two orders of the silky housemade Chocolate Mousse, vowing to return again on our next visit to Tobago.
