The March UpMarket promises great new food finds like Crate Foods‘ jackfruit jam; Del Mano‘s Basil, Mint & Caper Pesto; Sumptuously Orgasmic‘s Papaya Sunrise Chutney; along with Dreamy Creamy Ice Cream, fresh local produce from Vega Farms and organic provisions and greens from Permaculture Trinidad-Wa Samaki Ecosystems, and much more. As always, jewelry, candles, soaps, art and crafts will also be on sale. FREE ADMISSION.
JUST IN TIME CATERING (Woodbrook; (868) 356-3235) Weekly Cooking Classes: Friday, March 2, 5pm-6pm: Local Cuisine class, $250/week; Saturday, March 3, 12pm-1pm: Japanese Cuisine, $300/week; Monday, March 5, 6pm-7pm: Basic Introduction to Cooking, $250/week. “Bring your own personal knives as well as notebooks or any computer devices such as laptops, tablets or iPads.”
Saturdays, March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31: Cooking Course on Transitioning to Healthier Food Choices from New Earth Organic Cafe (Woodbrook; (868) 393-3109; The cafe is co-located with NEW EARTH ORGANICS MARKET). “The first class is mandatory to be able to attend any other classes; All other classes to be created with the group each week for the following week and to include – Baked Goods / Soups & Appetizers / Main Courses / Sprouting and Veggies. There are no “make up” classes.” Cost $1,250 for entire course or $300 per weekly class.
