Saturday, Dec 10, 9am-12pm: PASTELLES AND COCKTAILS @ Wendy Rahamut School of Cooking (San Fernando; (868) 653-1478). This is a demonstration class conducted by Wendy Rahamut and includes recipes’ handout. The cost is $400.
SUNDAY, Dec 11, 11am-3pm: Slow Food T&T’s TERRA MADRE DAY Farm Forage & Local Lunch (Wa Samaki Permaculture Farm, Caroni) – “Farmer Earl Noronha will start the day by leading a farm forage for root starches and rarely used edible leaves. The harvested produce will then be used to prepare a shared lunch, complimented by local dishes and products supplied by members – cheese, bread, chocolate, and also locally reared, aged and butchered meat.” The cost is a $50 donation.
