Dasheen is the star again at the 2013 BLUE FOOD FESTIVAL as local cooks apply their sweet hands to this beloved ground provision turning out inventive appetizers, innovative entrees, creative desserts, robust liqueurs.  Live entertainment and the unique crayfish river competition returns this year, while cooks throw down to create top dasheen eats, including best overall dasheen dish, most creative dasheen dish, best dasheen dessert and best dasheen beverage.

Food will be avaialable for purchase along with tons of specialty blue food items to take home like dasheen punch, wine, kuchela, cookies and so much more.

Where: Bloody Bay, Tobago

When: 10am – 6pm, Sunday, October 13, 2013

Admission: FREE

TIPS: Walk with an umbrella (October is still rainy season); Consider wearing waterproof/mud-friendly shoes; Bring your own chair, if possible; Be prepared to park your car at the village entrance and take a shuttle to the festival location.

  1. Had a wonderful time despite the rain and being totally soaked. Need a bigger venue to host this massive crowd. I could swear that the whole of Trinidad was there. Very good entertainment and food. More control needed for parking and shuttling.
