KING’S BAY CAFE (Delaford/King’s Bay, Tobago)

Kings Bay Cafe Tobago

Kings Bay Cafe (Tobago)

You could easily miss KING’S BAY CAFE as you wind your way up Tobago’s Winward Road and that would be a pity.

From the road, the unassuming cafe just looks like another house perched at the top of the bay. Thankfully, the cafe’s sign “Fresh Grilled Food, Stunning View” clues you in to one of Tobago’s best gems.

Enter and make your way back to the restaurant’s veranda and you’ll immediately realize that the sign is spot on.  The postcard-worthy view of King’s Bay is so stunning that cameras come out in short order.

Turn your attention to the menu and you’ll be treated with good, honest food, almost as if the owners, Mike and Joanne set out to create a menu that doesn’t compete with the view.  Link to all King’s Bay Cafe pictures.

The straightforward menu includes grilled fish (the catch of the day), housemade burgers on fresh buns, hot dogs (beef and vegetarian), baked potatoes, coleslaw and freshly-baked brownies.  KING’S BAY CAFE is perfect for a lunch or early dinner after you’ve visited Argyle Waterfalls or the Tobago Cocoa Estate.  A big bonus is that the food is very reasonably priced and the service always pleasant.

Serving/Hours – Lunch & Dinner: Monday-Tuesday: 12pm-6pm; Friday-Saturday: 12pm-8pm; Sunday: 12pm-5pm  Closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  (Also closed for the month of June 2013, will reopen in July 2013.)
