San Antonio Green Market (Trinidad)

Set against the backdrop of the Santa Cruz hills, the San Antonio Green Market is a lovely open air market selling “a mix of fresh produce (including unusual indigenous fruits, vegetables, herbs and seasonings), specialty foods (pastelle, payme, cocoa powder, goat’s milk) and artisanal items (wooden bowls and platters, handmade soaps, etc).”

Come hungry because market vendors also offer prepared foods that are perfect for breakfast or an early lunch like freshly-made bake and saltfish buljol, saheena, pies, etc. along with beverages (hot or cold cocoa, coffee, fresh juices and smoothies).  And there are plenty of communal tables and benches to sit and enjoy your food at the market.

  1. Great information, you guys are always on point in providing venues and businesses places that are sometimes under the radar. I can’t wait to go have a look at the San Antonio Green Market in fact I plan on recommending it to the Agribusiness Society for a field trip.

  2. Looks like a really cool, relaxing, naturistic environment. In fact, anywhere that I can see plenty of nature around me is a place that I want to visit.
