THE CANVAS BISTRO & BAR (St. James, Trinidad)

The Canvas Restaurant St. James Trinidad

The Canvas (Trinidad)

An all-day breakfast is what drew us to THE CANVAS BISTRO & BAR.

Sleek and brightened up by a large storefront window, THE CANVAS feels like an upscale version of a diner.  And like a good diner, the menu offers a variety of solid breakfast options with everything from pancakes and waffles to buljol & bake.

On our visit we enjoyed the Crisp Waffles topped with fresh fruit, Buljol & Bake, a side of scrambled eggs, and a cappuccino.  The friendly service matched our experience with the food and so we’ll be back no matter what time we’re craving breakfast.  Link to our pictures from THE CANVAS.

Lunch at the THE CANVAS means soups, salads, pastas and specialty sandwiches like the Roast Bell Pepper w/Goat Cheese & Caramelized Onions, which we’re looking forward to trying.  The soup menu also look fantastic – Pumpkin, Fish Broth, Beef & Broccoli Soup and more.

  1. Customer Service is terrible. I had to wait 20 minutes for cold eggs and raw bacon. The server had the nerve to asked to warm up my dish rather than to offer to make fresh dish. The excuse given, they are under -staff. My waffles were not cooked evenly but half burnt.

    My first experience and last.
