CIAO CAFE (Scarborough, Tobago)

Located a stone’s throw from the port in Scarborough, CIAO CAFE offers up pasta entrees, sandwiches, salads and fresh bread.

CIAO’s food is a good-value (and a tasty break from local Creole-style food).

For us, the authentic gelato is the star here, housemade in flavours like intense Blueberry (made with fresh blueberries), decadent Tiramisuand a boozy Wine & Raisin.  The gelato is available in cups, cones or packed in larger sizes to take home.  Trust us, you’ll feel like a kid in a candy store with all the colourful gelato flavours (samples are available).  Link to gelato picures

CIAO CAFE  also has a full coffee bar serving espresso, cappuccino and other drinks made from Hausbrandt coffee.  Be sure to take advantage of their ongoing deal – Coffee Happy Hours (everyday until 11am): “Take a slice of any cake or a croissant and we’ll give you free espresso or black coffee.”
