With its sleek interior and bistro-style food CHAUD CAFE & WINE BAR is a perfect fit for the upmarket One Woodbrook Place in Trinidad.
Chaud Cafe’s menu features sandwiches like the Crispy Cornmeal Crusted Shrimp Po’ Boy w/Creole Remoulade, Lettuce & Tomato; Wagyu Burger w/Smoked Cheddar, Roasted Garlic Mayo on a Warm Bun; tartines (open faced-sandwiches) like the Lobster Roll on Toasted Brioche w/Cole Slaw & Potato Chips.
The cafe also offers up small plates like the Char-Grilled NY Strip Steak, the Seared Diver Scallops; and salads like the Shellfish Salad w/Shrimp, Octopus, Squid, Mussels, Clams, Shaved Fennel.
Dessert offerings include Warm Apple Crumble w/Dulce de Leche Ice Cream; Banana Beignets w/Rum Anglaise & Caramel Sauce; and Chocolate Espresso Mousse.
TriniChow visited one Friday evening, but that pesky curfew got us again and the kitchen was nearly closed. With pastas and salads as the only choices, we selected the Penne Pomodoro, Chef’s Caesar Salad, and Tomato Chick Pea & Orzo Salad (this side was the standout). But, what we really wanted was on the plate at the next table standing proud – the Charred NY Strip Steak Sandwich…next time, arriving well before 8pm to get it.

love the shrimp po’ boy!! argh, my mouth is watering now. have to have it. great service, and wonderful location. very sleek and gorgeous.
Definitely a favourite…Trinidad needs more places like Chaud Cafe. We can’t wait to return and try their NY Strip Steak Sandwich.
